gather the broken - yr 5772

there are 7 weeks from the festival of Pesach to the festival of Shavuot.  a 49 day journey. In 2012, I did this journey in conversation with Amichai Lau Lavie, see gather the broken, for the drawings and his beautiful poetic text.

I am still alive - yr 5771

there are 7 weeks from the festival of Pesach to the festival of Shavuot.  a 49 day journey from liberation from the narrow places to being able to receive and listen to the other. these 49 days are called 'the omer' and it is a ritual to count each day in this cycle.
Inspired by this, and the telegrams of On Kawara, in 2011 I did a daily ritual of walking, finding the lost, discarded, remnants lying in the street, bringing them back to my studio and drawing them - each one tagged 'I am still alive'
