Handwriting monoprints

Bringing the trace back into a relationship with the space. 

A series of studies which incorporated handwriting into the inkless printing process, acting as a tension between the presence and absence.

​Uses two stages of printing: 
1. 
Monotype transfer of handwriting, mirror writing on one sheet of paper, disrupted with water, and then transferred to the final piece by running it through the printing press.
2. 
Embossing the etching plates
